Where it all began...

Shelley Caruso was born and raised in New Jersey yet never made permanent roots in one town. Her wandering feet brought her around the globe giving her an appreciation of many different cultures. Her longtime passion for horses drew her closer to nature. This combination contributed to her ability to translate visions through her brush and pen sharing her interpretation of the world.

Shelleys formal education in Interior Design and Architectural Drafting defined her as an Artist. Pen and ink renderings of architectural landscape became one of her many pleasures in art. 

Watercolor has become a way for her to express her free spirit and share with others her personal philosophy: stay true to yourself and wander outside of the lines. Shelley brings to life her dreamer spirit by combining her passion for painting and writing. Quotes are often matched with her artwork bringing a story to life. She challenges herself through new adventures and is never afraid to defy boundaries. There are no rules in art and uniqueness is her stamp. Tell her it is not possible and she will prove you wrong, defining this true Artist.

Over the course of the past two years Shelley was diagnosed with two types of cancer, with one being breast cancer. This prognosis ignited her passion to help other women with their own personal battles. 

During her treatments she shared her individually painted notecards with the Robert Wood Johnson Cancer Center Oncology Team. Immense encouragement was received leading her to create a special watercolor of pink ribbon to honor fellow women also fighting breast cancer. Shortly thereafter this design was created into an honoring pin with a portion of the proceeds being donated to breast cancer research.

Through her years of travel she has collected numerous ideas for new creations. She has met so many beautiful women sharing the same passion and love of their work. Her website will be a collaboration of fellow artists invited to create further branding and designs including pottery designers, glass blowers, scent creators and culinary artists.

Little by little she will be creating a lifestyle of calm and beauty through different product designs. Shelley appreciates all the beauty the world has to offer and uses it to maintain a serene and calm state of mind. She is delighted to invite you to share in this exciting new endeavor.
